$60-Million Lotto Max Jackpot Win Makes GTA Co-Workers Totally Freak Out

Watch GTA Co-Workers Freak Out As They Win $60M Lotto Max Jackpot

Twelve co-workers at a Markham business shared the largest Lotto Max jackpot ever this week -- $60 million, or $5 million per winning worker.

But perhaps the best part of it is how Dennis Cartier, the person running the office lottery, let his co-workers know they had just become rich.

“I didn’t tell anyone, I was supposed to have Monday off so I went in casual clothes and I brought them all into the board room and said I was tired of playing the lottery and wanted to end things,” Cartier said, as quoted at CTV News.

But “there is one more thing,” he added.

“And I handed out prize forms with the ticket attached to it….”

What follows is a total freak-out complete with whoops and hollers and the occasional unrestrained profanity. Check it out in the video above, obtained by CBC.

The winners work for Canadian Black Book in the Toronto suburb of Markham, and though they’re rich, they say they will continue to work at the company.

They say they’ve played the lottery every week for eight years, but until now, had only ever won $90, The Toronto Sun reports.
