Aunt Sues Nephew For $127,000 Over 'Unreasonable' Birthday Hug

According the aunt, the injury has made her life challenging.

A New York woman is suing her 12-year-old nephew for enthusiastically jumping into her arms on his birthday four years ago, causing her to fall and break her wrist. She wants $127,000 for her pain and suffering.

According to the aunt, Jennifer Connell, the injury has made her life challenging. “I live in Manhattan in a third-floor walk-up so it has been very difficult,” Connell said. “And we all know how crowded it is in Manhattan.”

The aunt also added that the broken wrist has negatively impacted her social life. “I was at a party recently, and it was difficult to hold my hors d’oeuvre plate,” she revealed.
