Emilia Clarke Named Esquire's "Sexiest Woman Alive"

All hail the Mother of Dragons!

Ladies and gentlemen, meet your new sexiest woman alive: Emilia Clarke.

On Tuesday, the "Game of Thrones" actress was appointed the legendary title, previously held by Penélope Cruz and Scarlett Johansson, by Esquire magazine. Photos in the November issue, shot by Vincent Peters, feature the 28-year-old bombshell lying topless in bed with only a sheet covering her bottom. #scandalous

The cover story, written by Benjamin Markovits, describes the star as "half pal, half dominatrix. Half kid sister, half sexy queen." The interview then goes on to say the British star, known for her role as the sultry, white-haired leader Daenerys Targaryen (a.k.a. Khaleesi) on the hit HBO series, manages to "bring together a number of opposites, to make them natural: sweetness and toughness, emotionalism with a kind of cold-blooded determination."

And we couldn't agree more.

Though the photos we've seen from the spread leave little to the imagination, Clarke's image as a style icon is rapidly growing. She covered the May 2015 issue of Vogue UK wearing a gorgeous floral-print Christian Dior gown with side cutouts.

And her eyebrows? Lets just say she's giving Cara Delevingne a run for her money.

Yes, the A-list star is definitely making a name for herself. It's no wonder she was also named "Woman of the Year" by GQ in September.

All hail, Emilia Clarke!
