Uber Canada Partners With Air Miles, As UberRUSH Delivery Service Launches In U.S.

It's exactly what you'd expect, anyone can now harness Uber's platform to use personal couriers to offer an on-demand delivery service to customers.

Running a business of any size is no mean feat. Day-to-day operations are complex enough, but if you want to offer delivery to your customers, you could be biting off more than you can chew, logistically.

Now business owners in Chicago, New York, and San Francisco can use the power of Uber to get customers whatever they want quickly with UberRUSH.

A company can hire UberRUSH to offer an on-demand delivery service to its customers, or just to deliver a letter across town.

UberRUSH allows users to order and track deliveries instantly in real-time, and it allows businesses to expand their delivery zones (in Uber's video, one business is able to serve all of Manhattan from one location).

Watch out UPS, FedEx. Uber's coming for you.

Uber Partners With Air Miles In Canada

Meanwhile in Canada, Uber has announced a partnership with Air Miles, allowing new users to earn miles with their first trip.

To celebrate the partnership, Uber will roll out a "Mystery Miles" giveaway for one-day only (Thursday) from 5:00 p.m. to 11:59 p.m., in five cities: Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City, Toronto and Edmonton.

After inputting the 'AIRMILES' promo code into the app, riders must select the "Air Miles" option when requesting an Uber ride. Then at the end of the trip, riders will receive a random amount of Air Miles with the chance to win enough for a round-trip for two anywhere in North America. Only one person per city will win a trip.

The fine print? Uber expects high demand, and not everyone who requests an Air Miles ride will get one.
