If you’re anything like us, then you’re probably asking yourself, "How does Selena Gomez, shampoo commercial goddess, get her hair so glossy and bouncy?" Well friends -- it's all thanks to hair extensions.
The 23-year-old pop star recently hung out out with YouTube sensation Lilly Singh to film a very cute "Newly Friend Game" video where the two become instant BFFs and grace each other with endless adorable compliments. When Gomez applauds Singh on her "humour and heart," the conversation steers to hair:
"That's like a real compliment," Lilly says. "It's not about my hair. That's the first time a compliment isn't about my hair."
"You do have beautiful hair," the "Revival" hit maker agrees.
"Yeah, and by the way, it's not fake. Can you just pull this real quick?" Lilly asks, leaning in so Selena can run her fingers through her waist-length mane that gives us major hair envy.
"Wait, I gotta check for a weave,” states the fashionista of the moment, as she tests Lilly's hair with a tug. "Yeah, it's so nice. Mine, however, is very fake.”
Key word from Selena right there: Fake.
Yes, so it looks like those big bouncy curls of hers are all thanks to hair extensions or a weave. Say it ain't so!
But lets be real -- most pop stars do wear extensions! And we love Gomez, who over the weekend released a shocking new track with ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber, for casually dropping her beauty secret like it’s no big deal to the world.
Selena just proved that honesty is the best policy. Three cheers!
