Extinct Baby Names: Surprising Monikers That Are On Their Way Out

As parents continue the trend of inventing new names, old classics we thought would never go out of style are now headed towards extinction.

Web developer Anna Powell-Smith created a tool that analyzes baby name data from the UK Office of National Statistics. The tool shows trends in data from 1996 to 2014, including annual rankings and the number of babies born per year.

Based on the data, the tool has determined the baby names in the UK with the biggest proportional falls. Flip through the slideshow below to find out which surprising monikers are heading towards extinction and how the names rank in the United States.
