Being away from your family is hard, but being away from your family when someone is sick and having surgery is even harder.
YouTuber Carl James, who is based in Germany, was faced with that exact issue when he learned his mother, who lives in the United States, would be going in for a kidney transplant after 10 years of battling a disease which deteriorated the health of her kidneys.
Fortunately with the help of a family friend, James was able to surprise his whole family by showing up at the hospital just one hour before his mom went into surgery, Fox 5 Atlanta reports. As you can imagine, it was quite an emotional experience and the whole thing was caught on camera.
