After two years on the market, a 20-room stone mansion in Quebec's eastern townships has sold, and realtor Royal LePage says it's the most expensive house ever sold in the province through the MLS.

The house in the province's Estrie region is situated on a more than 280,000 square-foot property, surrounded by lake and mountain views. It has had a hard time finding a buyer, appearing multiple times in recent years on HuffPost's list of most expensive houses for sale in Canada.

It may the most expensive MLS-listed house ever in Quebec, but the sellers wanted much more than the the $13.25-million selling price. As recently as July, it was listed with an asking price of $25 million. And last month the seller was asking for $19.5 million.

The main residence has a geothermal energy system, a heated indoor pool, a home theatre, a gym, a ping pong room and a wine cellar and tasting room. It also includes five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, three kitchens, five fireplaces and a library.

There is even a dressing room equipped with an elevator, a receptionist office and a mezzanine area. Royal LePage says the grounds on which the estate is situated also contain three guest homes, a private dock and an outdoor terrace area.

Marie-Yvonne Paint, a broker with Royal LePage Heritage, sold the property. The buyer was not disclosed.
