Mel B’s eldest daughter is growing up so fast! On Tuesday, 16-year-old Phoenix stepped out with her mother to attend an award ceremony in Mexico City, and we almost didn't recognize her.
The two arrived at the Marie Claire Prix de la Moda Award Ceremony looking chic in matching black outfits. As they walked the red carpet, we couldn’t help but notice how mature the young teen looks standing next to her famous mom.
For reference, here's Phoenix with her mom in 2010.
According to Mel B’s Instagram, the trip down south was a special mother-daughter outing. The former Spice Girl documented the entire journey, showing off their loving bond.
Phoenix is the eldest daughter of Melanie Brown and dancer Jimmy Gulzar. The 40 year old also has two other kids: eight-year-old Angel, whom she had with Eddie Murphy, and four-year-old Madison, whom she had with film producer and husband Stephen Belafonte.
This isn’t the first time Phoenix has stepped out with her mother. In September, the pair attended VH1’s 5th Annual Streamy Awards and New York Fashion Week together.
In an interview with Hello!, Brown described her eldest daughter as “my soulmate... incredible, sporty and calm.” She also added that Phoenix is currently in the top team for basketball at her school.
Brown is one proud mama now that her daughter is all grown up. Last year on Twitter, she gushed: “Have to say Phoenix is an amazing person inside and out, girl power to her all the way, couldn't be more proud of the young lady she is becoming, love my baby girl more than life [itself].”
