Amy Giberson And Justin Pounders, Preschool Sweethearts, Get Engaged On Live TV

Get the tissues ready.

Amy Giberson and Justin Pounders first crossed paths 30 years ago at preschool, but it wasn't until last year the two found each other again online. But this sweet love story, just got sweeter.

On a live segment of "The View," host and actress Candace Cameron Bure sat down with the couple, both 33, to talk about their unique love story. Little did Giberson know her now fiancée had another plan in mind, one that left her in tears.

"My heart was pounding and overcome with such a happiness and feeling of love the only way I could express it was by crying," Giberson told the Huffington Post Canada. "I opened my eyes and saw the best person in the world, who I'm madly in love with on one knee asking me to spend the rest of our lives together."

The couple from St. Petersburg, Florida started dating about a year ago, and had figured out they went to preschool together after a few dates.

Pounders had confessed he had a crush on a girl named Amy. When his mother looked up old school photos, turns out Giberson was the Amy he was talking about. The two even sat beside each other in a school photo.

The two officially got engaged on Nov. 18 and plan on getting married on the same date in 2016. They even started an Instagram page together showcasing their love.

"I know how much it means to all of our loved ones to see us at the point on our life. It's the greatest blessing."

After several interviews after their story went public, Giberson says they also got a chance to visit their old school. Now renamed to Learning Adventures, she still recognized the playground, the water fountain and the area her class picture with Pounders was taken.

"They even [had] a sweet message for us on the sign out front that read 'Congratulations, Amy & Justin.'"

Watch the adorable proposal during the interview in the video above, to find out why Giberson was left in tears (we don't want to give it away).

"After all I've been through in my rocky dating life and after Justin's tragedy [his former fiancée passed away in 2012], I know how much it means to all of our loved ones to see us at the point on our life. It's the greatest blessing."
