Everyone could use some work on their conversation skills, including Canadian Olympian and wellness guru, Simon Whitfield.
The avid proponent of active listening suggests using a simple meditation technique to avoid dominating a conversation. This is how it works: After someone speaks to you, not only listen, but give yourself a few moments to reflect on what they're saying before responding back.
Sounds simple enough, right?
The technique, Whitfield says, can be used to both make us better conversationalists and focus the mind to help achieve the short-term goal of being better at communication.
Watch another episode of "2 Minutes To Transform" to find out how Whitfield used meditation techniques to win Canada a gold medal during the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia.
