Jean Paul Gaultier To Design Collection For Target Australia

...but only in Australia.

(Relaxnews) - Jean Paul Gaultier is teaming up with supermarket chain Target on a fashion collection.

The French designer will work with the store on a range of womenswear, menswear, childrenswear and homeware, Australian Vogue reports. The collection will comprise around 100 products, including dresses, shoes and accessories, and will launch in Australia in 2016.

"Every time I've been to Australia I've been impressed by the laid-back, unstuffy confidence that Australians display with their fashion — it resonates with my design philosophy and has such synergy with my own approach to fashion and style," the designer said.

Affordable collaborations are becoming a habit for the high-end designer, who launched a collection for the Japanese retailer Seven & i on October 1 this year. This is the second collab he will be doing with Target, the first being for the American stores back in 2010.

Jean Paul Gaultier for Target will hit stores in 2016, with the exact date to come.
