While most Americans were busy shopping and eating turkey this past Thanksgiving weekend, Mary-Kate Olsen had other plans in mind: a wedding.
Yes, the 29-year-old designer reportedly married French banker (and half-brother of former French President Nicolas Sarkozy) Olivier Sarkozy, 46, in an intimate ceremony in Manhattan on Friday night.
Page Six reports the ceremony was held at a private residence on 49th Street, between Second and Third avenues with 50 guests in attendance. All attendees were required to turn in their phones beforehand, which explains why there is no social media evidence of the wedding. The media outlet also says the wedding was stocked with "bowls and bowls filled with cigarettes, and everyone smoked the whole night."
A source tells Us Weekly the ceremony was "small and lovely" with both the pair's parents in attendance. However, Mary-Kate's "Full House" TV dad, Bob Saget, confirmed during an appearance on NBC's "Today" that he was not invited.
"I was not invited, but I'm very happy and I sent a Mazel tov text," said Saget. "I'm very happy. I love her very much. I hope they're happy."
This marks the first marriage for Olsen and the second for Sarkozy, who has two kids from his previous marriage to ex-wife Charlotte Bernard. The newlyweds began dating in 2012 and got engaged two years later.
Congrats to the happy couple!
