Admit it. You've been wondering for years now how some fashion bloggers have perfectly curated Instagram accounts. You know, those perfect #OOTDs of the girl sipping on a latte in the trendiest coffee shop in town or those snaps of a girl posing sweetly against a graffiti wall, big brim hat and all, looking down at her shoes.
If you're like us, you're asking, "Who the hell are taking all these pictures?" or "Who is really behind the iPhone?" Well, the mystery has been solved: it's the Instagram husband.
Posted by The Mystery Hour on Tuesday, the hilarious parody YouTube video, "Instagram Husband," has already reached well over a million views. Hitting close to home for many, the video profiles the behind-the-scenes husbands of the Instagram-fanatic women who strive for the perfect shot (and the likes). And no, no — the perfect shot doesn't just come after taking a few snaps. It comes after taking nearly 230 photos, back to back.
"I've had to delete all the apps on my phone just to make room for more photos," one unsung hero says in the video.
"Behind every cute girl on Instagram is a guy like me, and a brick wall," says another.
And like the video's description says, the Insta hubbies are not alone. Following the video's release, many brave husbands are coming forward to share their stores as the "human selfie stick" through a Tumblr page called, of course, Instagram Husband. On the site, there are tabs to "receive help" (which includes a stiff glass of Jack Daniels) and advice on how to go about "approaching your wife."
