How To Keep Your Makeup Bag Germ-Free To Avoid Getting Sick

It's all about sanitization.

While the holidays do bring festive cheer, they also bring on stress and cold weather, which can ultimately result in you getting sick.

You may already be taking the appropriate measures to avoid catching the dreaded flu like washing your hands and wiping down your cell phone, but there's one area that you may have overlooked when it comes to sanitization: your makeup bag.

First thing? Emptying out your makeup bag and cleaning it out, or better yet, swapping your canvas bag for a plastic one. As for lipsticks, scrape off the top layer using a butter knife, then dip the product into a small glass of alcohol to disinfect it. Then, place the uncovered tube in the freezer overnight, for a bacteria-free application in the morning.
