The video was filmed by Shaw in front of their "fireplace" and posted on Nenshi's Facebook page Friday.

The mayor, who is Muslim, has been reading Christmas books to students in schools across Calgary this week.

And still making time to be sassy on Twitter.

His response:

The best mayor in the world (for 2014) regularly reads to kids, including at children's festivals and at bookstores.

Watch Nenshi's video above to get in the festive mood. Christmas is less than two weeks away!
