LONGUEUIL, Que.— Authorities say seven Quebec men from the same family are facing sex charges for alleged offences against four minors in the 1960s and 1970s.
The men were arrested Tuesday and appeared in court today.
The suspects are now between 59 and 71 years old and the alleged crimes took place between 1964 and 1976.
Crown prosecutor Christel D'Auteuil-Jobin says the allegations are extremely serious given the number of accused and the number of alleged victims.
The seven accused appeared before a youth court judge today and were freed until Feb. 8 on several conditions, including not being in contact with each other.
Some of them are expected to appear in adult court this afternoon.
