Jennifer Lawrence Calls Out Reporter For Using His Phone. Was She Wrong To Do It?

"...Criticizing a guy for living life behind a screen seems dumb for someone who's just won an award for being in a movie."

Did Jennifer Lawrence bully a reporter in a post-Golden Globes press conference on Sunday night?

That depends on who you ask ... and their interpretation of this video.

Lawrence wagged her finger as she told a reporter, "You can't live your whole life behind your phone, bro. You can't do that, you've got to live in the now."

The reporter apologized before asking, "How do you see yourself for the Oscar night?"

Lawrence then interjected, saying, "We're at the Golden Globes, if you put your phone down, you'd know that."

The reporter, it turned out, was Juan Pablo Fernández-Feo, a journalist who works for E! Networks Latin America.

Mashable pointed out that reporters often use their phones to take notes and record their subjects' responses, "even more likely if the international reporter's first language wasn't English."

And Lawrence's comments did not go over well with many on social media.

However, this journalist told a different story:

This is one case where the tape doesn't quite tell the whole tale.
