Emma Watson's Feminist Alan Rickman Tribute Brings All The Bullies To The Yard

No sooner had Emma Watson paid tribute to fellow actor and feminist Alan Rickman than online bullies came out to harass her.

Rickman, who starred with Watson in the "Harry Potter" movies, died following a cancer battle on Thursday.

This is how his co-star honoured him.

Rickman had repeatedly spoken on feminism throughout his career.

"I always think feminist just means common sense," he told Entertainment Weekly in 2013.

But several Twitter users took issue with Watson bringing up Rickman's comments on the day he died.

For her part, Watson paid them no mind and kept posting Rickman tributes throughout the day.

One of them was written by his "Love Actually" co-star Emma Thompson, who called Rickman the "ultimate ally. In life, art and politics. I trusted him absolutely.

"He was, above all things, a rare and unique human being and we shall not see his like again."
