Making a joke about Amy Schumer on Twitter probably isn't the best way to thank her for a picture.
The comedian posed for a photo at the Critics' Choice Awards with 17-year-old budding film critic Jackson Murphy, who tweeted it with the caption "Spent the night with @amyschumer. Certainly not the first guy to write that," according to Variety.
She didn't appreciate the comment.
The teen apologized later that day.
"I truly apologize," he tweeted. "Thought you'd like the joke. I should leave the comedy to you! Thanks for the photo. Glad you won last night!"
He then followed up with another apology, which Schumer seemed to accept.
I truly apologize for the tweet I posted earlier. I'm not a comedian and it wasn't funny. @amyschumer— LightsCameraJackson (@LCJReviews) January 18, 2016
@LCJReviews that's really okay honey. I just remember thinking you and your dad were sweet and it was a bummer to read that— Amy Schumer (@amyschumer) January 18, 2016
