Ostana Baby: Town Welcomes First Newborn In 28 Years

Baby Pablo was born in January and is now the town’s 85th resident.

It’s been nearly three decades since Ostana, a small town in northern Italy, has welcomed a newborn into their community. Baby Pablo was born in January and is now the town’s 85th resident.

“At first I couldn't believe it was true,” mayor Giacomo Lombardo told CNN. “The news almost shocked me. It's a dream come true.”
