Super Bowl Ads 2016: Watch The Commercials Not Available In Canada

ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL (commercials)?

The booze is chilled, the recipes are made and the snacks are set. Now it's time for some football... commercials.

This year, Super Bowl 50 promises to pit the Denver Broncos' five-time league MVP Peyton Manning against Carolina Panthers Rookie of the Year Cam Newton. There's also plenty to look forward to at the halftime show thanks to headliners Coldplay and Beyonce (they still make more sense than Sting, you guys).

But for those who haven't paid any attention to a single NFL game this season, yet find themselves in front of a giant screen Sunday, Feb. 7 at 6:30 p.m., Super Bowl commercials serve as something everyone can get behind.

Many ad agencies are releasing commercials ahead of the big game. So far, it seems brands are banking on big-name celebs, such as Hyundai's ad featuring Ryan Reynolds and a Snickers ad featuring Willem Dafoe dressed as Marilyn Monroe.

If Budweiser and Colgate's ads are an indication of anything, some companies are trying to see if ads and advocacy will pay off when it comes to consumers.

And for good reason: Last year's Super Bowl averaged 9.2 million Canuck viewers for the entire game.

But Canadians have historically been left out in the cold when it comes to the big-budget ads. Bell Media currently owns the exclusive rights to the NFL championship and substitutes Canadian ads in lieu of the U.S. ones.

The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission ruled that American ads are an integral part of the experience and has ordered Bell's TV subsidiary, CTV, to stop subbing in Canadian commercials. Bell and the NFL are appealing the ruling, but if they fail, Canadians tuning in to the game next year will be able to switch over to Fox, which has next year's U.S. broadcast rights, to view the American ads.

In the meantime, we've compiled some of the best ads in the playlist above.
