Sneaker Pop-Ups To Check Out During All-Star Weekend In Toronto

Perfect for athletes and sneakerheads alike.

Toronto is gearing up for this year's NBA All-Star weekend, which means there will be plenty of events and activities happening to surround the festivities.

Among these special events are sneaker pop-ups which will open up around the city for sneakerheads and athletes to peruse. From a mobile shoe store on a streetcar to Canada's first-ever Jordan store, check out the sneaker pop-ups opening in Toronto during All-Star Weekend:

Nike has turned a TTC streetcar into a mobile shoe shop/mini museum perfect for die-hard sneaker fans. Starting at SNKRS XPRESS Station (277 Queen St. W.), riders can cruise around the area while shopping a curated selection of footwear and checking out historic styles from the DNA Vault. The SNKRS XPRESS will be in service from Thursday, Feb. 11 through to Sunday, Feb. 14. Appointments and sign-up are available through http://nike.com/snkrsxpress.

Adidas Originals is opening up shop above Exclucity (552 Queen St. W.) so sneakerheads can get access to exclusive Adidas Originals drops and check out reveals in the upcoming months. The space features custom imagery by Toronto photog Horace Ng, and fashion-forward products including the new Tubular sneakers. It will also feature official NBA All-Star apparel and footwear for the month of February. The pop-up opens Thursday, Feb. 11 and will open in the for the next few months.

Livestock has teamed up with Nike for a limited pop-up shop to coincide with All-Star weekend. It will highlight the new Flyknit Ultra AF1, and will feature Flyknit-inspired fixtures and displays, tech knit apparel wall displays, custom light boxes and a custom cityscape of Toronto. Check it out at 116 Spadina, Unit G1.

During All-Star weekend, Reebok Basketball offering exclusive footwear, key Question Mid styles, and basketball apparel and headwear in celebration of Allen Iverson and his career at Capsule Toronto (#104 - 69 Yorkville Ave.). Special guests will be on-site all weekend including visits from Allen Iverson and Shaquille O’Neal. The store will be open on Friday, Feb. 12 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Solce Exchange will be holding the Ultimate Sneaker Show in Toronto during All-Star weekend, starting Friday, Feb. 12. Held in Liberty Village at 99 Sudbury St., the show will feature "thousands of kicks, Dope Apparel, Special guests, Poppin' music, Awesome Food, Raffles, All Day Sneaker Auctions, Tons of Giveaways" and more. On Friday, Feb. 12 at 6:23 a.m., Canada's first Jordan-only retail store will open at 306 Yonge St. offering the ultimate Jordan Brand experience in Toronto. It will be open 24 hours a day throughout All-Star weekend and feature an assortment of Jordan footwear and apparel, including a "rotation of product influenced by Toronto and the culture of basketball." The store will also feature the "Jordan Standard," where people can use body tracking and ball control technology to test speed, control agility, endurance and focus.

Underground, a lounge will offer the "ultimate VIP Jordan service experience" with customization, early product reservation, barber services and personal shopping. The space will be open until Monday, Feb. 15 at 6:23 p.m. Sign up at Nike.com/snkrsxpress/.
