Even if you don't live alone, it can still be hard to find recipes that don't result in leftovers for days. Sure, you can freeze meals or save leftovers for lunch, but either way, that means eating the same food at least one or two more times.

Cooking a new dish using leftovers is a great way to cut food waste. According to food rescue group Second Harvest, Canadians waste on $31 billion dollars of food yearly, nearly 50 per cent of which is tossed from homes.
