Monica Lewinsky Stands Out In Black At Vanity Fair Oscars Party

Her simple, tiered frock was understated in the most memorable way.

We didn't expect to see her, but we're glad we did.

Monica Lewinsky showed up at Vanity Fair's Oscars after-party Sunday in a simple black frock that makes us wish she'd appear on the red carpet more often.

The anti-bullying activist and writer wore a strapless gown with frilly layers on the bottom that perfectly matched the lines of her loose, wavy updo.

She kept her makeup low-key with black eyeliner and coral lipstick, and accessorized with gold heels that peeked out from underneath her dress.

The 42-year-old is now a contributing editor at Vanity Fair, where back in October she wrote a piece about fearing someone would dress up like her for Halloween.

There's not a hint of costume to this ensemble – we think Monica looks effortlessly classy here.
