Mini-Trump Has Quite The Non-Answer About Canada's Capital

He successfully dodged the question: "What is the capital of Canada?"

It takes time for politicians to become skilled at dancing around questions. But one student has already got this down to a fine art.

For bonus points on a test, a teacher asked his students, “What is the capital of Canada?” In response, one kid not only masterfully dodged the question, but left the teacher feeling uplifted by his nonsensical response.

“Of course I know the capital of Canada,” the student confidently wrote. “It's a great country. It's really great. Everyone wants to know what the capital of Canada is. And you know what I tell them? I tell them, that we have a foolproof plan for naming the capital of Canada. And that's why we're going to be the best at naming the capital of Canada. #MakeCanadaGreatAgain.”

Clearly amused by his student’s creative response, the teacher posted a photo of the paragraph answer to Reddit. “This is why I teach,” he wrote.

In just one day, the post received over 2.3 million views. It also left many users drawing comparisons to Donald Trump’s style of answering questions. “I guess you could say... he played his Trump card,” one joked.

Another noted: “It’s a little scary to know that even kids know about ‘the Donalds’ stalling tactics!”

And while many users were amused by the photo, some were concerned that the kid received full bonus points for giving the wrong answer. “The sad thing is, without answering the question correctly, the kid still received the extra point. Another sign of how teachers fail kids,” one said.
