Ryan Reynolds And Blake Lively Attend White House State Dinner

You clean up real good, kids.

On a normal day, actors and spouses Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively usually look pretty dapper. So how does the duo kick it up a notch for one of the most important nights of their lives — a dinner with Canada's prime minister and the U.S. president?

We must admit, Vancouver's Reynolds and partner Lively came through. The pair arrived at the White House Thursday night looking a vision in blue tones — he in a fitted dark-blue Burberry tux with black lapels, and she in a silvery-lilac dress with shoulder cut-outs from Ralph & Russo.

Reynolds, the 39-year-old star of the box-office hit movie, "Deadpool," paired the tux with a white bow tie, with beard and hair neatly groomed.

Lively's smoothed hair was worn long and tucked behind her ears, showing off long earrings which matched a large, silver-lilac ring and detailed silver clutch. The "Gossip Girl" alum wore nude strappy sandals to complete the look. Her simple makeup had slight violet undertones.

Reynolds and Lively are parents to one-year-old daughter, James, who wasn't in attendance at the state dinner, but we think she would have been proud of her folks. 'Cause they cleaned up real good.
