Police in Metro Vancouver want a cellphone-talking driver off the road for a good, long time.

The Vancouver Police Department says in a tweet that one of its officers has just handed a woman her 14th ticket for using a cellphone while behind the wheel.

The officer has also requested that the woman be prohibited from driving, although the department hasn't said when or if that penalty might be imposed.

Last week, Richmond RCMP noted the driver had received her 12th ticket for distracted driving, but she was slapped with a 13th violation notice on the weekend and VPD announced the 14th ticket on Wednesday.
