A taxi driver who asked three passengers to pay their fare was threatened with a handgun on Sunday, according to RCMP.
The cabbie was dropping one woman and two men off near 191 St. and 124 Ave around 3:20 in the morning when one of the men pulled out the firearm, said a release.
The group, who had been picked up on Fraser Ave. in Port Coquitlam, eventually walked away and headed for some nearby townhomes.
The driver wasn't hurt.
Cpl. Brenda Winpenny said RCMP responded with a team of police dogs, but couldn't find the suspects.
One of the men had a medium build and was wearing a white sweater with the hood pulled up. The second man had a thinner build and short, buzz-cut hair, said RCMP. He was reportedly wearing a black hoodie.
The woman, who was also wearing a black hooded sweater, is described as having a heavier build.
All three are described as Caucasian, about 5'9" tall, and in their 20s.
