Update: Lowndes took to her Instagram account on Monday afternoon to confirm her "relationship" with Lovitz was a hoax. The singer conveniently also released a new music video "Deja Vu," co-starring Lovitz.
"90210" star Jessica Lowndes took to her Instagram account last week to reveal she is in a new relationship.
The 27-year-old Vancouver-born actress first teased the relationship with a shot of herself in a Bentley. She captioned the photo 'his'.
Lowndes shared a few more photos on Friday, including one of her beau's hand on her thigh with the caption, "His hands are wise and tell a thousand stories... #smitten #hatersgonnahate."
Lowndes even upped the ante by posting a shot of a sparkling diamond on her ring finger.
Though Lowndes never posted a photo of her new boyfriend's (or fiancee's?) face, fans who follow her on Twitter discovered she was referring to 58-year-old Saturday Night Live alum Jon Lovitz who tweeted "Easter with my bunny, @jessicalowndes," on Sunday.
And for anyone who seemed skeptical about the relationship, Lowndes shared a video of herself rolling around in bed, as Lovitz can be overheard saying "what? I'm not video-ing."
But the video isn't enough proof for some fans who are calling the whole thing a sham and accusing the pair of attempting an elaborate, albeit early April Fool's joke.
Lowndes and Lovitz guest starred on "Hawaii Five-O" together in early 2015. Lowndes shared this photo of the two at the time calling Lovits her new friend.
Lowndes was last linked to rugby player Thom Evans in late 2013 and "Breaking Bad" star Aaron Paul in 2010. while Lovits was dating model Janice Dickinson.
