Anne Hathaway Baby: The Star's Name Choice Goes Against Hollywood Tradition

The actress welcomed her baby boy on March 24.

Anne Hathaway is now a mom and has broken the Hollywood trend of choosing quirky baby names. Instead, "The Intern" star opted for a traditional moniker with a unique twist.

On March 24, the 33-year-old actress and her husband, Adam Shulman, welcomed a baby boy named Jonathan Rosebanks Shulman.

While Jonathan has always been a classic name, Rosebanks is far more original. According to E! Online, this is because Rosebanks is actually a combination of family names. Hathway's paternal grandfather was named Roseline, while Shulman's mother's maiden name was Banks.

On Twitter, fans were quick to give their approval of the couple's "normal" baby name choice.

Jonathon Rosebanks is the first child for the couple, who have been married since 2012.

An insider told E! News: "The baby is extremely healthy and is surrounded by friends and family in L.A. Anne and Adam are ecstatic to be parents."

Hathaway has always wanted kids. In a 2013 interview with Vogue, she said: "I want to be a mother, and I anticipate loving my children quite fiercely. I think about it all the time, though it’s a silly thing to think about because the kind of mother I'll be depends on the kind of children I have. I can't wait to meet them."

Now that her baby boy is finally here, we can't wait to meet him either! Congrats to Hathaway and her family.
