Duchess Of Cambridge Steps Out In McQueen, Jenny Packham for First Day Of Royal Tour

She chose one of her favourite designers for her first appearance on this Royal tour.

Royal-style watchers, our time is now.

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge and her Duke, Prince William, arrived in Mumbai Sunday morning local time for their first-ever royal visit to India and Bhutan — their first tour together in two years. The couple's first stop was to lay a wreath to honour the victims of the 2008 terror attacks at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel.

Catherine wore a bespoke red peplum blouse and skirt with paisley accents by Alexander McQueen, from Sarah Burton's pre-fall collection, and chose to accessorize the outfit with neutral accents — a taupe clutch from Russell and Bromley, and taupe pumps from Gianvito Rossi.

She wore her trademark locks down with subdued makeup — a nude lip, blushed cheeks and her signature black-rimmed eye.

Her husband, William, kept things classic in a dark blue suit with blue patterned tie.

On their first day, the couple also attended and participated in a cricket match at the Oval Maidan with local children and charities. Kate changed into a more casual outfit — a light, flowy dress by Indian designer Anita Dongre — and William opted for dark jeans and white shirt.

That night they attended a fundraiser with some of Bollywood's biggest stars, which A-lister actor Shah Rukh Khan rightly predicted to be very formal.

Her outfit was definitely inspired by their host country. The beading on both the dress and shawl was done in India, and Kate accessorized with drop earrings by Indian jeweller Amrapali.

Royalphiles around the world have been looking forward to this tour, which will be an action-packed one and could see the Duchess formerly known as Kate Middleton wearing as many as 21 different outfits, according to the Daily Mail.

Prior to the tour, Catherine wore a standout dress by Indian-born designer Saloni Lodha that earned her lots of style praise.

Looks like she's continuing her trend of striking looks for the tour, and we've only just begun!
