In fact, The Weeknd and Bieber have more nominations than any other artist this year — Drake tied with fellow rapper Fetty Wap for 11.

Other favourites like Taylor Swift and Adele have eight nominations each, while fellow Canadian Alessia Cara's "Here" was nominated for "Top R&B Song" of 2016.

Earlier this month at the Juno Awards, 26-year-old The Weeknd walked away with three awards for his album "Beauty Behind the Madness."

Bieber grabbed pop album of the year for "Purpose" and Drake won rap recording of the year for "If You're Reading This It's Too Late."

Let's just say it's been a pretty damn good year for Canadian music so far.
