CALGARY — Two drivers are recovering from injuries and a horse has been put down after a crash during a harness race in Calgary.

The accident happened Sunday during the eighth race of the day at Century Downs.

Martin Ratz, the track's security manager, says the collision happened when some horses collided with each other.

Ratz says one of the animals suffered a cut while another one had to be euthanized.

The horse was a five-year-old pacer named Pass the Port.

Horse Racing Alberta, the sport's governing body, is investigating.

The races were delayed for about 20 minutes following the crash.
