The Internet is currently going crazy with news of Beyoncé's "Lemonade," an unknown project which is set to premiere on HBO on April 23 at 9 p.m EST.
Over the weekend, Bey released a trailer for "Lemonade" which sees the 34-year-old superstar wearing a fur coat and cornrows saying things like "The past and the present merge to meet us here," "What are you hiding?," "Why can’t you see me?" and "What am I doing, my love?"
And while we were definitely feeling the hype courtesy of Queen B, what really got us excited was a familiar face in the vid: Canadian model Winnie Harlow.
The 21-year-old model with vitilago appears smack dab in the middle of the cryptic video, wearing a crown of thorns and a braided updo. Harlow, born Chantelle Brown-Young, shared a screengrab of the pic on her Instagram page, with the caption "thank you for the opportunity to work with u Beyonce 🙏🏾 an experience I will Never forget."
On Friday evening, Winnie attended the 2016 Canadian Arts and Fashion Awards, walking the red carpet in a custom Mikhael Kale gown. During an interview with HuffPost Canada Style she alluded to something exciting coming up, which is most likely this "Lemonade" vid.
Winnie also told HuffPost Canada Style the importance of "supporting each other" in order to continue pushing diversity in the fashion industry.
"There are so many people who want to do things but don't have the support, don't have the means to get things done," she said. "I had so much support from my city as well as my family in order to do the things that I wanted to do."
We can't wait to see Winnie in the full video!
