Boston Marathon Survivors Return To The Race, 3 Years After Attack

Three years after the Boston Marathon bombings killed three people and injured more than 260, 21 survivors returned to the 2016 race.

Patrick and Jessica Downes came back, with Patrick becoming the first amputee from the bombing to complete the race on foot, according to Runner's World.

Ballroom dancing teacher Adrianne Haslet-Davisalso returned, finishing the race — her first marathon, according to CNN — with a prosthetic blade.
