2016 Met Gala: The 12 Best Beauty Looks From The Red Carpet

All the makeup and hair looks that illuminated on the red carpet.

The 2016 Met Gala proved to be a major success on Monday evening, and not just in the fashion department.

Of course, the futuristic frocks the highlight of the evening, which celebrated "Maus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology," an exhibition curated and organized by Andrew Bolton. But we must say, with stars like Lily Aldridge rocking gold eyebrows and Kate Bosworth flaunting delicate head pieces, the night also saw an array of stunning beauty looks.

From dramatic smoky eyes to cutting-edge eyeliner, we're still obsessing over the bold looks donned by our favourite stars at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Here are the 12 best beauty looks from the 2016 Met Gala red carpet:

We've seen the bushy brow, we've seen the bleached brow and we've even seen the Instagram brow. And now, thanks to model Lily Aldridge, we're seeing the gold, gilded brow. The Victoria's Secret model took the innovative theme to the next level with her glittering brow and subtle brown matte lip.

Futuristic with a hint of punk, KStew went bold with a cutting-edge metallic blue lid that we're totally obsessed with. As for her hair, the 26-year-old sported a platinum blond, heavily-textured mohawk.

Sure, you've seen Taylor's platinum blond hair everywhere now, but unfortunately for you (or fortunately), we're still not over it. The pop star gave us major Little Jenny Humphrey vibes with her textured lob and sultry burgundy lip. This is a dramatic new look we hope TayTay keeps around for a while.

It's official: Willow Smith is the coolest person ever. For the Met, she dazzled with a single sequin under her waterline. The face of Chanel kept things simple with a natural brow, glossed lip and black winged eyeliner.

With makeup done by Charlotte Tilbury, you bet Kylie Jenner would have the most sultry and shimmering smoky eye of all. The bronzed cheeks and bold brows worked beautifully with her nude lip (Kylie Lip Kit alert!). And the "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" star's biggest beauty statement of all? Her short, sleek bob.

If there's one person who knows how to rock a slicked back power ponytail, it's Elle Fanning. The young starlet's natural blond locks looked beautiful in a high, wrapped pony. Fanning's brows were made bold, as the rest of her face was kept bare and simple.

Move over, Cara, your old sister Poppy may be the next beauty queen! Smouldering in perfectly straight blond locks and a glistening Glastonberry Matte Revolution lipstick by Charlotte Tilbury, a glowing Poppy proved you don't need a thick, full brow to make a statement on the red carpet.

Fully embracing the theme of the night, Ciara did not hold back with her shimmering silver hair that we think may have been an ode to Halle Barry's Storm character from "X-Men." The songstress styled her locks into soft finger waves that were oh-so-elegant and she paired the 'do with a dark smoky eye and glossy pink lip.

From the jewelled headpieces to the orange pastel smoky eye, Kate Bosworth looked regal and ethereal at the Met on Monday evening. With her pale, dewy skin, she added a touch of red to her lips for that extra pop.

Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair! We love Zoe's voluminous braid with floral accessories wrapped within.

Silver fox! Supermodel Jourdan Dunn rocked a sharp asymmetrical bob that went beautifully with her blue and silver smoky eye. Her glossed lip and highlighted cheeks made the look almost robotic, which we loved.
