Gigi Hadid may have stole the show with her grand entrance alongside boyfriend Zayn Malik at the 2016 Met Gala, but the most interesting part of her outfit was something rather unexpected.
To match this year's "Manus x Machina: Fashion in the Age of Technology" theme, the 21-year-old supermodel donned custom KISS nails embellished with hidden crystals on the underside of the tips.
The total cost of her technology-focused mani? $2,000.
The nail art, which was designed by celebrity manicurist Mar y Soul, matched perfectly with Gigi's custom-made Tommy Hilfiger gown featuring gunmetal sequins throughout.
"I collaborated with KISS Products to create custom elegant almond shaped chromed-out nails, with a hidden detail, crystals," Soul said in a press release. "Underneath each nail, I added 3 crystals for an element of surprise and to ensure her nails look flawless no matter what angle."
To finish things off, Hadid donned pewter knuckle rings to really give her ensemble that futuristic effect.
