Over the past year, Canadian men and women have slayed in the world of film, television, sports, fashion, music and politics. There's no denying that.
Canada's sweetheart Rachel McAdams won big along with her "Spotlight" cast during award season, director Xavier Dolan directed the music video for the biggest song of the year (Adele's "Hello") and don't even get us started on how The Weeknd and Justin Bieber dominated the music charts.
This week, Hello! Canada released their eighth annual "Canada's Most Beautiful" list, highlighting a vast "spectrum of homegrown talent who are making headlines today" with 25 "standout men" and 25 "stunning women."
"We never miss an opportunity to toast Canadian success stories," says Alison Eastwood, editor-in chief of Hello! Canada. "But we’re especially proud of this issue, which brings so many stars together in one special edition and reminds us all of the breadth of talent that exists here at home. The stars featured in the issue are all charismatic, thriving in their fields and undeniably photogenic. They’re beautiful – inside and out."
Leading the glamourous pack are Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and wife, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, who had quite the year (to say the least). From appearing in Vogue together to dining with the Obamas, the world fell in love with the Trudeaus and we couldn't be happier about that.
And if you're wondering, yes, of course, both Ryan Reynolds and Ryan Gosling scored spots on the list.
You gotta admit, Canada has some pretty attractive citizens, eh?
But we're not afraid to express our disappointment in the fact that Drake, the 6 God himself, wasn't included on the list. BRB, crying forever.
Check out some of the Canucks who made the list below! To see the complete list, pick up your issue of Hello! Canada, on newsstands now, or check out it out here.
