Ghenadie Carpov, Toronto Man, Allegedly Drugged, Sexually Assaulted Woman Answering Cat Ad

A woman met with Ghenadie Carpov Thursday to buy his cat.

A Toronto man is facing charges after he allegedly sexually assaulted a woman who wanted to buy his cat.

A 26-year-old woman met with Ghenadie Carpov Thursday to answer a Kijiji ad he put out about his cat, said Toronto police.

When she got to a home in the Yonge Street and Finch Avenue area, she agreed to purchase the cat.

The two were having food and drinks at Carpov's house when the woman began to feel sick.

Police said in a news release that Carpov took the woman to his bedroom where he allegedly sexually assaulted her.

He was arrested Friday and charged with sexual assault and administering a noxious substance.

Police believe there may be more victims, and are asking anyone with information to call police at 416-808-7474 or Crime Stoppers at 416-222-8477.
