Beyonce And Kendrick Lamar Give BET Awards The Performance Of A Lifetime

The Queen is here.

Now here's a performance we're going to be talking about for many years to come.

Beyonce surprised audiences by kicking off the 2016 BET Awards with an unannounced show with rapper Kendrick Lamar.

Performing "Freedom" off of Bey's "Lemonade" album, the duo took over a water-filled stage (similar to the one she has on her official Formation Tour), on Sunday night.

With red lights, dancers in custom-made body suits and an opening tribute to Martin Luther King, Jr.'s "I Have A Dream" speech from 1963, this is one show that will go down in history.

The 34-year-old "Hold Up" singer also won four awards during the ceremony including Best Female R&B/Pop Artist, Video of the Year (for "Formation), and the Coca-Cola Viewers' Choice Award, Us Weekly reports.

However, due to a concert in London, the Houston-born singer was unable to stay for the rest of the event, The Daily Mail notes. In fact, her mother Tina Knowles accepted some of her daughter's awards on her behalf at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
