"Where are you from?"
"No, where are you really from?"
It's a question that's as common for many Canadians to hear as, "Do you guys really say 'eh'?" And it seems innocent, but "Where are you from?" can be loaded with all kinds of assumptions β especially if you're asking a person of colour.
