How To Get A Full Body Workout In While Wearing Your Baby

Now you don't have to worry about finding a sitter.

All moms know it's hard to find time for yourself when you have your hands full taking care of everyone else.

If working out is something you want to do, but you aren't ready to leave baby behind while you're at the gym, there is another option.

In the video above by Cosmopolitan, fitness trainers (and moms) Anja Pierre and Melissa Paris demonstrate a full body workout you can do while wearing your baby. From side planks to tricep dips to ab bicycles, these exercises get extra intense when you have a 10 lb. baby strapped to your chest.

In recent years, researchers have found that exercise during pregnancy provides benefits for both mom and baby and new moms can get even more benefits from exercising after pregnancy.

While it's generally recommended women wait six weeks post-birth to begin a new workout routine, the experts at the Mayo clinic say you can start earlier if you had an uncomplicated vaginal delivery. If you had a C-section it's best to speak with your doctor before exercising.
