Prince George Photos: Toddler Celebrates Third Birthday In Adorable Photos

Posted: Updated:

Happy birthday, Prince George! Today, July 22, the tiny tot turns three years old.

In true royal fashion, Kensington Palace released new photos of Prince George to mark the occasion. And we have to say, these photos might just be the cutest yet!

The future King is starting to look very grown up, but he still (thankfully) hasn’t lost his adorable chubby cheeks! In the photos, George can be seen enjoying the summer weather, playing on a swing and feeding ice cream to the family dog, Lupo.

The pictures were taken by Matt Porteous earlier this month at the family’s country home, Anmer Hall, CBC reports.

“I really enjoyed the opportunity to take these photographs of Prince George,” the photographer said. “It was a very relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. I’m honoured that they have decided to share these images with the public to mark his third birthday.”

With the release of the photos, a Kensington Palace spokesperson also released a statement: “The Duke and Duchess hope that people will enjoy seeing these new photographs. They would like to thank everyone for all the lovely messages they have received as Prince George celebrates his third birthday.”

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge often share photos of their kids – three-year-old Prince George and one-year-old Princess Charlotte – to mark important milestones. The last time we saw official images of the Royal Family was in March when they took a short ski break in the French Alps.

2016 is shaping up to be a big year for Prince George. In January, the toddler started preschool. He is currently enrolled at Westacre Montessori School Nursery in Norfolk, which is located close to Prince William and Kate Middleton’s home, Anmer Hall.

In April, George adorably met U.S. President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama wearing pajamas, slippers and a bathrobe. And in May, the Prince’s mother revealed that the three-year-old and his little sister are pet owners to a little hamster named Marvin.

To continue the Prince’s birthday celebrations, reports that the Royal Family will be hosting a special tea party celebration at Anmer Hall.
