Comic-Con 2016: Where Diverse Comic Buffs Unite

Diversity reigned supreme in the fandom world.

Diversity reigned supreme at San Diego's 2016 Comic-Con last week.

The four-day event that ended on Sunday saw fans pay tribute to their favourite pop culture characters, regardless of race gender or ability.

Not to mention the costumes showed off some impressive DIY skills.

Size wasn't an issue, gender bending was fair game and race wasn't a factor if you wanted to be Squirrel Girl, a female Spider-Man or a black Wonder Woman.

One cosplayer even seamlessly made her mobility device part of her "Game of Thrones" costume: Cersei Lannister sitting atop her Iron Throne, and actress Lena Headey more than approved of her queen counterpart.

Take a look at these pictures and check out these quality DIY'd costumes and let your inner fanatic squeal.
