There was no white dress or grand reception but Kristen Bell says her 2013 wedding to husband Dax Shepard was just perfect.
"We got married in a tiny room in the Beverly Hills courthouse, and it was still one of the best days of my life," Bell said in an interview on "CBS' Sunday Morning."
The "Veronica Mars" actress shared photos of her wedding for the first time ever during the interview, revealing what they wore (her: black pants, matching shirt and a silver bib necklace; him: a black-and-white suit), where they said their vows and where they shared their first kiss as husband and wife.
Bell also opened up about her husband's past battle with addiction, tearing up as she recalled the difficult period in his life.
"He's a wonderful father," she said. "He knows the value of things. He was an addict for many, many years and he pulled himself out of it, and he's been sober for 11, 12 years now... and he knows how many times he's messed up and how many times he's been really closing to losing everything."
The couple have been together since 2007 and have two daughters, Lincoln, 3, and Delta, 18 months.
And even though she has a successful career, the 36-year-old "Bad Moms" star believes that family comes first.
"I always think, if I'm on my deathbed, what am I gonna be thinking about?," she said. "And it won't be some random movie I participated in, or some TV show. It will be my family."
