Adele Broke Her Own Rule For Vancouver Ice Cream

Hello, Adele effect.

Rules, shmules.

Adele treated herself to some ice cream in Vancouver before her show on Thursday, breaking one of her own performance-day rules.

The singer popped into Yaletown's Mister for scoops of double Oreo, and later raved about it on stage at Roger's Arena.

"It's like artisan ice cream. He makes it in front of you with liquid nitrogen. It's very exciting for a three-year-old," she told the crowd.

"I'm not supposed to have chocolate on show days but I did," she said. "It was very nice."

Adele and her son stayed low-key during their stop, but the effect of the visit was anything but.

Mister's owners said they saw lineups out the door the following weekend, with several customers coming just to order the flavour Adele mentioned.

“We are still floating on cloud nine," Tommy Choi and Michael Lai said in a press release.
