EDMONTON — A storm flooded Edmonton streets, forcing emergercy crews to rescue motorists stranded in an underpass on the city's southside.
The amount of rain that fell varied across the city from very little to more than 60 millimetres of rain in a very short time.
A construction worker was injured when the tree he was standing under got hit by lightning.
Witnesses described the man's injuries as a burn on his arm, between his wrist and elbow.
Officials said crews responded to more than 130 calls about flooded roads to blown manhole covers to traffic lights out.
