A customer at a Tennessee restaurant says she was sexually assaulted by a toy used by one of the chefs.
Isabelle Lassiter, her husband James and their family were watching the cook's show at Wasabi Japanese Steakhouse in Murfreesboro, Tenn. Monday when a chef used a peeing doll to shoot water in her face, they told WTVF.
The toy looks like a small boy that shoots water when its pants are pulled down.
"It was a sexual-style assault on my wife," James Lassiter told the outlet.
"(It happened) in front of our minor children and grandchildren."
Isabelle called police to file an assault report, according to NewsChannel 5.
In the report, the responding officer said that James claimed a server had used a toy figure with a penis to spray his wife, and that Isabelle felt she'd been assaulted.
The cop wrote that the chef admitted he sprayed Isabelle with the toy and showed the officer how it worked.
"I observed the toy to have no penis and just a hole for the water to shoot out," wrote the cop.
"It peed on me, basically," said Isabelle Lassiter of the toy.
But the Lassiters said in a statement obtained by NewsChannel 5 that they don't care that the doll isn't anatomically correct.
"People are missing the point. This was a sexually-oriented toy meant for adults, [used] in front of minor children," they wrote.
"If the toy was in a bar, it'd be a different situation, but this was in a family restaurant with 13 to 14 year olds at the table. If people think it's so funny, why don't people go buy that toy and squirt a cop in the face with it and see what happens."
The couple has declined to file charges, according to WTVF.
The restaurant's owner told Fox 17 that in his more than 10 years running hibachi restaurants, no one has complained about the toy. In fact, children love it.
“A lot of little kids walk in and they say 'You have the pee pee boy?' "You have the pee boy?' That's the first thing they always ask,” said Johnny Huang.
However, the "pee pee boy" will only show up from now on if someone asks about it, he said.
