BlackBerry's Kim Kardashian Tweet Shows They're Desperate To Keep Her

DON'T LEAVE US.

BlackBerry has been through the ringer lately.

The Waterloo, Ontario-based company has basically given up on making handheld phones, killing the "Classic" model phone it only rolled out two years ago.

And now, the tech firm risks losing one of its most famous customers.

Yes, folks, you heard it here first: Kim Kardashian's beloved BlackBerry Bold has died.

The reality star tweeted about the loss on Wednesday. She said she can't find the phones on eBay anymore, and that she might be considering switching to something new.

A different BlackBerry, perhaps. Or — *shudder* — a SAMSUNG.

BlackBerry, naturally, was quick on the mark.

It tweeted at Kardashian, telling her that it would work with her to ensure she obtained the right smartphone.

Of course, Kardashian isn't the only famous person who still uses a BlackBerry.

U.S. President Barack Obama uses one — albeit a "specially-modified, highly secure" one.

BlackBerry's most recent earnings showed it breaking even, with a profit of $14 million, which rounds out to no gain or loss on a per share basis.

Maybe Kardashian's continuing business can give it a bit of a boost.
